
Rhonda Collins, DNP, RN, FAAN
Dr. Collins’ 35-year nursing career began in labor and delivery, where she spent a decade providing care to high-risk mothers and their babies. She then transitioned into leadership positions in various hospitals across Texas. Her expertise in clinical informatics led her to enter the healthcare business industry as a clinical subject matter expert at CareFusion.
While at CareFusion, she managed and supported business development and client relations focused on medication safety. She later held executive positions at Masimo Corporation and Fresenius Kabi, USA, LLC, where she led medical device sales, marketing, and FDA clearances. As Chief Nursing Officer at Vocera, she led the clinical strategy, informing product design and market strategies to significantly improve healthcare team communication worldwide.
Recognized for her exceptional contributions to nursing, Dr. Collins was named a fellow by the American Academy of Nursing in 2019.
Dr. Collins is known for her engaging speaking events on the evolving role of nurses, the importance of innovation, and utilizing technology to enhance patient and care team effectiveness and experience. She is widely published on the topic of cognitive burden in clinical practice and ensures the voice of the nurse is elevated everywhere.
